Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The winter high season is here and with the official reopening of the Malecon there are even more events planned for this November in Puerto Vallarta than usual. With a range of interests from Art to food to music, there is something for everyone.

The Wednesday Artwalks start again in the historic downtown and the Southside Art walk started November 11^th and is on every other Friday until May.

The Gourmet Festival in its 17^th year, is from November 19-20 and there are amazing food presentations in all the top restaurants around town each night. Check their website more exact details http://www.festivalgourmet.com/

The Puerto Vallarta International Fishing Tournament since 1956 is a major event for local fisherman as well.

Home tours begin in November each year both Peace and the Freindship club host this very popular tours thru local homes each week. Both groups use all proceeds for charity and are very good causes. See some fabulous homes from multi million dollar villas to less luxurious casas all with very impressive architecture and some one of a kind design concepts from local decorators.

The Malecon and Zocolo (main plaza) are the setting for a month of events from the current sidewalk chalk artists which has some very promising artists. Some of the sculptures from the malecon are being presented in their new locations. The famous icon of Puerto Vallarta the little boy on the seahorse has been moved slightly to a new location and had its official unveiling on November 11^th at 5:30.

As the sidewalk chalk art exhibition comes to a close on Sunday evening, the party moves to the Lighthouse stage where a Bolero and Carnival event orchestrated by the Xiutla ballet will be presented at 8 pm, wrapping up the first weekend of the month-long celebrations taking place on Puerto Vallarta's newly renovated Malecón.
