The excitement is building as the big day comes closer, now only slightly more than 2 months till the Pan American Games begin on OCTOBER 14TH going thru to October 30th in Guadalajara. Puerto Vallarta dates are October 16-23rd when the Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit area hosts 4 very popular events: Beach Volley Ball, Sailing, Aquatics and a Triathlon.

Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta will be the heart of exciting international sports and cultural events with 42 countries representing North America, South America and the Caribbean; even Cuba is included and will be competing with the rest of the athletes.

A special campaign “I am Vallarta, I am Pan American” meaning all the people of Puerto Vallarta are representatives of their town and their country and ambassadors of good will.

A local company Mijo Brands is the energy behind the campaign and their plans include attending schools, public presentations, private moxie, flyers and print-outs, promotional items and the ever-present social media. In addition, strategic events will take place along some of Puerto Vallarta’s main avenues, where organizers will hand out promo items in some the city’s plaza and shopping centers, sporting events, Pan American Mascots’ tour, public and private sector school visits and will rally independent initiative and participation through SienteJalisco.com

Mass print promotion will include banners, canvases, stickers, flyers, brochures, whilst social media broadcasting will encompass news bulletins, photos, videos, and Facebook and drawing contests.

In case you are not familiar with what the Pan American Games are, it is a multi-sport event between competitors from all nations in the Americas, held every four years in the year before the summer Olympic Games, Guadalajara will be followed by the 2015 games in Toronto, Canada. The games were last held in Rio de Janeiro in 2007.

As well as PV and GDL, there will be mountain biking in Tapalpa and baseball in Lagos de Moreno.

This is an opportunity to know Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city and a greater metropolitan area with almost seven million inhabitants supporting a rich cultural society. Preceding the Pan American games by about a month and a half will be the 18th International Mariachi and Horsemen Festival in Guadalajara from August 25th to September 4th. Mariachis from Croatia, Italy, Belgium and more unlikely countries.
