Fish Tacos in Paradise - El Barracuda I went to El Barracuda for the first time last Saturday and was very impressed. I had heard a lot of great reviews about this great seafood restaurant and finally got to try it. The location is great – beachfront about 5 blocks before the Malecon starts and very near the new Teatro Vallarta with live theatre productions. El Barracuda has a contemporary décor but is a bit funky, the menu is mainly very casual food such as seafood t

In the winter i.e.: dry season they have tables on the beach but for now with the potential of a bit of rain, the tables are all inside but right on the edge of the beach so a great place to watch the sunset and have some great seafood appetizers or a full meal. If someone in your group has to have red meat they also serve some seafood alternative.

I should have known it would be great as the owners previously were the inventors of Fajita Republic and have some great Restaurant experience between the 2o f them. I see that Trip Advisor also has some great reviews about El Barracuda so if you are looking for a great place to watch the sunset and or are looking for a great beachfront restaurant - I highly recommend El Barracuda.

The guacamole was great; we also had the Baja shrimp Tacos, a casserole of mixed seafood that was a huge success, some steak brochettes and the Peruvian Ceviche with larger chunks of fish instead of the usual Vallarta style in finer presentation.
